Nestled in the heart of historic Clerkenwell, with the architecturally resplendent City University in perfect view from it's voluptuous windows, The Peasant has always been at the forefront of the gastro revolution. "Some Say" it was UK's second ever gastropub.

It features a stunning upstairs restaurant filled with natural light and the Victorian horseshoe bar downstairs with its original mosaic floor proudly displays the owners' fine collection of circus memorabilia and art.

The Peasant offers a choice of menus. An a-la-carte in the dining room and a lighter list in the bar. We also have one of the widest selections of beer in London, including some from the finest major and micro brewers: Crouch Vale, Four Pure, Camden Town, Brooklyn, Beavertown, Hammerton, Hackney, Bath Ales, Hawkes and our very own Sponsor: 'Meantime Brewery'.
