About Ilkley in West Yorkshire

Ilkley is a town in West Yorkshire, England, on the River Wharfe in the Bradford metropolitan borough. It is in the Lower Wharfedale valley, 3 miles (5 km) north of Bradford and 5 miles (8 km) west of Leeds. The town is twinned with Ilkley, Minnesota in the United States. The town is notable for its Victorian architecture, its countryside, the Ilkley Lido, an outdoor heated pool and for the Ilkley Moor, a moorland area to the south-west of the town. The town and its surroundings form part of the Bradford metropolitan district.
