The town of Halifax is located in the county of West Yorkshire in England. The town has a population of around 81,000 people and is the administrative centre of the Calderdale borough. The town is located in the south-west of the borough, on the River Calder. Halifax is famous for its wool industry and its production of Halifax cloth. The town also has a large number of historic buildings, including the Halifax Town Hall and the Halifax Minster.
