Staplefield is a village located in the Mid Sussex district of West Sussex, England. The village is situated on the A272 road, 3.5 miles (5.6 km) east of Haywards Heath and 5 miles (8 km) west of Burgess Hill. The village has a population of 1,072 (2011 census).

The name Staplefield is derived from the Old English words stapol (meaning "post, stake") and feld (meaning "open land in a forest").

The village has a 12th-century church dedicated to St. Margaret, which was rebuilt in the 19th century. The village also has a primary school, a village hall, and a recreation ground.
