About East Molesey in Surrey
East Molesey is a town in Surrey, England, situated on the north bank of the River Thames, in the south-west of Greater London. It lies upstream of Hampton Court Palace and downstream of Kingston upon Thames. The town's name is derived from its location on the east bank of the River Mole.
The town has a population of 13,000 and is twinned with Hersham in Surrey. East Molesey is served by two railway stations, East Molesey and West Molesey, both on the Hampton Court Branch Line. The town is home to Molesey Boat Club and Molesey Cricket Club.
The main commercial area of the town is Bridge Road, which has a number of shops, restaurants and cafes. East Molesey also has a number of primary schools and a secondary school, Esher College.
