Falkirk is a town in the Central Belt of Scotland. The town has a population of 32,000 and is the main town in the Falkirk council area. Falkirk is the second largest town in the county of Stirlingshire. Falkirk is a former royal burgh, and is situated at the junction of the Forth and Clyde and Union Canals. The town is home to the Falkirk Wheel, a rotating boat lift which connects the two canals. Falkirk Stadium, home to Scottish Championship football club Falkirk F.C., is also located in the town.
