About Dunblane in Stirlingshire

Dunblane is a town in the Stirling council area of Scotland. The town is situated 12 miles north of Perth and 18 miles southwest of Stirling, on the A9 road and the A907 road to Doune. The town had a population of 8,114 at the 2001 census.

Dunblane Cathedral is located in the centre of the town. It is a Roman Catholic cathedral and the seat of the Bishop of Dunblane. The cathedral was built in the 12th century, and has been remodelled several times since.

The town is home to two primary schools, Dunblane Primary School and Dunblane Cathedral Primary School, as well as Dunblane High School. Dunblane also has a variety of shops and businesses, including a supermarket, a petrol station, a post office and several banks.
