Goring is a town in Oxfordshire, England. It is located on the River Thames, about 9 miles (14 km) south of Oxford. The town is home to Goring-on-Thames railway station, which is on the Reading to Oxford line.

The town is twinned with the French town of Fontenay-le-Comte.

Goring has a long history dating back to the Anglo-Saxon era. The town was recorded in the Domesday Book of 1086 as "Goringe".

The Goring family have been prominent in the area since the 13th century, and the town's name is derived from them. The family's coat of arms is on display in the town hall.
