Cholsey is a town in Oxfordshire, England, on the River Thames about 2mi south of Wallingford and 8mi west of Reading. It is in the district of South Oxfordshire. The town has a population of 5,000. It is twinned with the town of Mably in France.

The town is served by Cholsey railway station on the Reading to Oxford line. The M40 motorway passes about 5mi to the north.

The Church of England parish church of Saint Mary the Virgin dates from the 12th century and is a Grade I listed building. The tower was built in the 15th century and has a ring of eight bells.
