Riding Mill is a town in Northumberland, England. It is situated on the River Tyne, about 8 miles (13 km) west of Newcastle upon Tyne and 15 miles (24 km) east of Hexham. The population of the town was 1,812 at the 2011 Census.

Riding Mill was originally a small village, but began to grow in the early 19th century with the coming of the Newcastle and Carlisle Railway. The village became a town in 1885.

The town is home to a number of businesses, including a food manufacturer, a plastics company and a manufacturer of garden sheds. There is also a railway station on the Newcastle and Carlisle line.

Riding Mill has a number of schools, including a primary school and a secondary school. There are also several churches in the town.
