Prudhoe is a town in Northumberland, England. It is situated on the River Tyne, about 10 miles (16 km) west of Newcastle upon Tyne and 15 miles (24 km) east of Hexham. The town has a population of about 9,000 people.

Prudhoe Castle is a Norman castle situated in the town. It was built in the 11th century and was the seat of the powerful earls of Northumberland. The castle was besieged during the Civil War and was later dismantled by Parliament.

The town has a number of historic buildings, including St Mary's Church, which dates from the 12th century, and Prudhoe Hall, which was built in the 16th century.

Prudhoe is home to a number of businesses, including engineering and manufacturing companies. There is also a large retail park on the outskirts of the town.
