About Craster in Northumberland

Craster is a small village on the North East coast of England in the county of Northumberland. It is situated about 25 miles north of Newcastle upon Tyne and about 10 miles east of the border with Scotland. Craster is built around a small harbour which is used by fishing boats and pleasure craft. The village has a number of small shops and businesses, a primary school, a church and a pub. There are also a number of holiday cottages in and around the village which are popular with tourists who come to enjoy the area's coastline and countryside.
