Oundle is a historic market town in Northamptonshire, England. It lies on the River Nene, about 10 miles (16 km) east of Peterborough and about 30 miles (48 km) north of Northampton. The town has a population of about 5,000 people.

Oundle was founded by the Saxons in the 7th century. It was an important market town in the medieval period, and was granted a charter by King John in 1214. The town's market is still held every Wednesday.

Oundle is home to Oundle School, a co-educational independent school which was founded in 1556. The school has about 1,200 pupils.

The town's name is thought to derive from the Old English 'oundel', meaning 'a circle or ring of land'.
