Chepstow is a town in Monmouthshire, Wales, situated on the River Wye, close to the border with England. It is located within the historic county of Monmouthshire. Chepstow Castle, situated on a cliff above the river, is one of the most impressive surviving Norman castles in Britain. The town is also home to the Chepstow Racecourse, which hosts horse racing events throughout the year. Chepstow has a variety of shops and businesses, as well as a number of schools and churches. The town is twinned with the French town of Saint-Maur-des-Fossés.
