About Huyton in Merseyside

Huyton is a town in the Metropolitan Borough of Knowsley, Merseyside, England. It is part of the Liverpool Urban Area, lying to the south of the city. Historically in Lancashire, Huyton was an ancient parish which in the mid-19th century contained Croxteth Park, Knowsley and Tarbock. It was incorporated as a municipal borough in 1866 and became a county borough with the passing of the Local Government Act 1888. The town has a population of 40,846 (2011 census).
