Mossley is a town in Greater Manchester, England, on the River Tame approximately 4 miles east of Ashton-under-Lyne and 13 miles north-west of Manchester. Historically part of Lancashire, it was a mill town and had a population of 19,431 at the 2011 census. Mossley is surrounded by several smaller towns and villages, including Stalybridge to the north-west, Saddleworth to the east, and Denton to the south-east.
