Hampstead is a town in Greater London, England. It is located on the north side of the River Thames, in the London Borough of Camden. Hampstead is known for its intellectual, artistic, musical and literary associations and for its large number of artists' studios and galleries. It has some of the most expensive housing in London and is home to the Hampstead Heath parkland.
