Burnham-on-Crouch is a town in Essex, England, on the River Crouch. It is the largest town in the Maldon district. The town has a population of 11,068 (2011 census).

The town is twinned with Saint-Maur-des-Fossés in France.

The town originated as a small fishing village and was recorded in the Domesday Book of 1086 as Burnham. It was granted a market charter by King John in 1284. The town's name was changed to Burnham-on-Crouch in 1974.

The town's economy is based on fishing, agriculture and yachting. The town has a busy yachting marina and is home to the Royal Burnham Yacht Club, founded in 1892. The town also has a large number of holiday homes.

The town is served by Burnham-on-Crouch railway station, which is on the Crouch Valley Line. The station is located on the London, Tilbury and Southend Railway. The town is also served by buses to Chelmsford, Maldon and Southminster.
