Sandhurst is a town in Berkshire, England. The town is home to the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, which trains officers of the British Army. The town is situated in the south-east of the county, close to the border with Hampshire. The town has a population of around 24,000 people.
The town is twinned with the town of Saint-Cyr-l'Ecole in France, which is also home to a military academy. The two towns have a close relationship, with many exchange programmes taking place between the two academies.
Sandhurst is a historic town, with many buildings dating back centuries. The town centre is home to a number of independent shops and businesses, as well as some larger chain stores. There are several schools in the town, including Sandhurst School, which was founded in 1855.
The town is surrounded by countryside, and there are several parks and green spaces within the town itself. Sandhurst is also home to a number of sports clubs and teams, including Sandhurst Town FC who play in the Southern Football League.
