Stotfold is a small town located in the county of Bedfordshire, England. It is situated in the district of Central Bedfordshire and is part of the civil parish of Stotfold and Langford. The town has a population of around 4,000 people and is located close to the A1 motorway, making it easily accessible from London and other major cities.
The town has a long history, with evidence of settlement dating back to the Iron Age. The name Stotfold is thought to be derived from an old English word meaning ‘a place where horses are kept’. During the Middle Ages, Stotfold was an important market town, with weekly markets held in the town centre.
